Subject: Good Adaptation
Knowing that this film is an adaptation of a comic strip which I do not especially like I didnĀ“t expect much of it but I was "disappointed" in a positive way. Straightforward storytelling, quite good acting, not too exagerrated only because it is a "comic", enough suspense to be interested for the whole 64 minutes.

Subject: Great programmer
Thanks for making this movie available! It's so much better than it has any right to be, and I like Morgan Conway's performance as Dick.

I reviewed on my old movie blog: http://ocdviewer.wordpress.com/2009/12/26/dick-tracy-dec-1-1945/

Subject: It's in the title
This title tells you everything you want to know about the movie.
He's Dick Tracy and he's a detective.
The rest are sub plots.
There's a woman, there's a boy, there's a crime, and that's about it. Oh yeah, and a comic relief, and that's redundant, the whole movie is a comedy in one way or another.
But it's all for fun, so watch and enjoy.

Subject: Better than average B-Movie
This Dick Tracy movie is head and shoulders above the Dick Tracy serial in the archives. While not a great movie, the plot is interesting, the acting better than average, the characters in line with the Dick Tracy milieu and the dialog well written.

The actor playing Dick Tracy, Morgan Conway, sounds just a bit like Humphry Bogart (at least in this film). Anne Jeffreys, who plays Dick Tracy's girlfriend, later played Marion Kerby, one of the two ghosts in the TV series, Topper. Mike Mazurki, who plays Splitface, is a character actor who plays a heavy in scores of B-movies.

Subject: Entertaining
Quite good for the Dick Tracy series. Characterizations are strong; Tracy is hard-boiled.

I watched the mpeg4. Crackle in the sound track throughout, but not too annoying.
